Spicy Chipotle Marinade:
Ingredients:
2-3 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
In a blender or food processor, combine the chopped chipotle peppers, minced garlic, olive oil, lime juice, honey, cumin, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
Blend until the marinade is smooth and well combined.
Taste the marinade and adjust the seasoning as needed.
Place your protein of choice (such as chicken, steak, or shrimp) in a large resealable plastic bag.
Pour the marinade over the protein, making sure it is completely coated.
Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
When ready to cook, remove the protein from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
Grill, bake, or pan-fry the protein until cooked to your desired doneness.
Serve with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, rice, or a salad.
