Carribean Jerk Chicken Pizza
Ingredients:
1 pre-made pizza dough
1 cup jerk chicken, cooked and shredded
1/2 cup pineapple chunks
1/2 cup red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon jerk seasoning
Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the pizza dough package.
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into your desired thickness.
Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
In a small bowl, mix the barbecue sauce and jerk seasoning together.
Spread the barbecue sauce mixture evenly over the pizza dough as the base sauce.
Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Evenly distribute the shredded jerk chicken, pineapple chunks, red bell pepper, and red onion over the cheese.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the toppings.
Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake according to the pizza dough package instructions, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Once cooked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly.
Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves for added freshness and flavor.
Slice the Caribbean pizza into wedges and serve hot.
